Moshi Monsters are back and this time there’s platforming
Mind Candy, a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, has announced that their well-known franchise Moshi Monsters is getting its third game with Moshi Monsters Katsuma Unleashed for the Nintendo DS and 3DS.
Moshi Monsters Katsuma Unleashed follows, for the first time in the series, a standalone hero named Katsuma as he travels through new worlds in order to rescue other Moshi Monsters.
Compared to the other two games in the series Katsuma Unleashed is going to be a little different since it is actually a side-scrolling action-adventure platformer and whichever world you go to, you will be taking on mini-arcade challenges as well as boss fights and regular enemies.
The 3DS version of the game will take advantage of the 3DS’s StreetPass abilities with 18 explorable maps as well as some monster attack games where you will get to play as each of the Moshi Monsters, each with their own moves.

Moshi Monsters Katsuma Unleashed is due out in October 11th 2013 in Europe and November 5th in North America. The game will also have pre-order incentives as well which will be announced as the game gets closer to its release date.
