Mind Candy – the games studio behind global kids phenomenon Moshi Monsters- today announced it has signed leading UK indie developer, Sumo Digital to produce its third Nintendo DS title for launch in the UK, US and Australia in Q4 2013.
Sumo Digital is an independent game development studio based in Sheffield, UK. The studio has received much acclaim over the last ten years for the consistent quality of its games, most notably with the Sonic All-Stars franchise for SEGA.
The new game will be Mind Candy’s 3rd Nintendo DS/3DS title, following the success of its two previous releases, Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Zoo, which topped the UK DS charts for a record breaking 23 consecutive weeks and Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park.
The Sumo team will produce a Moshi Monsters themed platform-based action-adventure game for Nintendo DS and 3DS consoles.
