New Tracks Revealed for We Sing 80’s

Nordic Games, developer of the We Sing games, has released seven more tracks from their upcoming We Sing 80’s title. Their really stringing us along, aren’t they? Seven songs a week, half of which I don’t know. I recognize Paula Abdul’s name because she was a judge on American Idol. She was the nice judge. Cyndi Lauper was on Celebrity Apprentice, which is that show Donald Trump tried to promote by running for President in the U.S., which didn’t make a mockery of that country at all.  I didn’t know Paula Abdul or Cyndi Lauper could actually sing. Why can’t they get famous first and then release an album as a result of their crummy reality television career? Isn’t that what everyone has always done? The 80’s had it completely backwards, but it was a simpler time.

The second round of tracks that will appear in the game are:
Cyndi Lauper – True Colours
Tears for Fear – Shout
Yazoo – Only you
Lisa Stansfield – All Around the World
Paula Abdul – Straight Up
Simple Minds – Alive and Kicking
Baltimora – Tarzan Boy

I don’t know anything about these bands, but I guess this game is aimed towards an older, wiser generation that likes to play with the Wii. I’m not a part of that target demo, mostly because I’m neither old nor wise.

I’m looking forward to future iterations of this game. I feel like when the developer hits around 2010, they’re screwed, because the future will be filled with nothing but dubstep. I want to hear people try to sing along to that. I mean the drops alone are going to cause people to fall apart. And the only word used is “wub” so that limits the emotional range of the songs just a bit, although we all know how much mileage rock and roll has gotten out of the word “baby.” Soon, the entire karaoke business will be dead. I believe I just found a reason to like dubstep. Well that and this fabulous song.
