Ubisoft Announces Next-Gen Open World RPG, Tom Clancy’s The Division

At Ubisofts conference at the annual E3 many different games were either shown off or announced. While all of the games that were announced look like they would all turn out to be interesting, one particular game caught the eye of many different gamers.

That game is the new Tom Clancy’s The Division, a innovative online, open-world RPG that is set to be released for both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 coming in 2014. The Division takes place after a deadly virus, which was released on Black Friday, quickly sweeps over and consumes the entire state of New York. All services to try to stop the infection have failed, while society quickly collapses into disarray.  With it looking like things might last too much longer, the president is forced to call upon the help of The Division, a top-secret group of tactical agents.

Having usual lives among all of us,  members of The Division are trained to fight on their own in urgent situations such as this one. In the universe of Tom Clancy this game will feature great realism as you explore the streets, crawling with bandits, where you will do anything that you possibly can to keep yourself alive. As said by Fredrik Rundqvist, the executive producer at Ubisoft,

“Our goal with Tom Clancy’s The Division is nothing short of completely changing the way people play online RPGs. With the power of next-gen consoles behind it, The Division puts players in the middle of breathtaking, persistent multiplayer thriller in which they will explore, fight and work together as modern society collapses around you, all with the authenticity for which Tom Clancy games are renowned.”

The Division is the most recent addition to the Tom Clancy series, being developed by Massive Entertainment and produced by Ubisoft. To keep up to date with all the upcoming news on Tom Clancy’s The Division, do not forget to check out Einfo Games.
