Nintendo announce new Legend of Zelda concert tour dates

Nintendo have announced new tour dates for 'The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses’ tour. The tour will take place in locations throughout the United States and Canada.  The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of Godesses' tour features live orchestral performances of classic music from the Legend of Zelda franchise.

The four part symphony will recount the storylines from Ocarina of Time, Windwaker, Twilight Princess and A Link to the Past. The Symphony of the Godesses tour will also highlight music from other games in the series, including Link’s Awakening and Majora’s Mask.

The newly announced dates are as follows:

Sept. 15:  Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (Sony Centre for the Performing Arts)

Sept. 22:  Minneapolis, Minnesota. (Orpheum Theatre)

Oct. 12:  Dallas, TX. (AT&T Performing Arts Center)

Oct. 18:  Boston, Massachusetts. (Wang Theatre)

Oct. 25:  Chicago, Illinois. (The Chicago Theatre)

Nov. 3:  San Antonio, TX. (The Majestic Theatre)

Nov. 6:  Calgary, Alberta,  Canada. (Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium)

Nov. 28:  New York, New York. (The Theater at Madison Square Garden)

Dec. 8:  West Palm Beach, Florida.(Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts)

Dec. 9:  Miami, Florida. (Adrienne Arsht Center)

Dec.14:  San Jose, California. (San Jose Civic Auditorium)

Producer of the Goddess of Symphony tour Jason Michael Paul spoke about the tour commenting:

“We are thrilled to bring this unprecedented and exhilarating tour to fans across the U.S. and Canada.”  … “From children to adults who have followed The Legend of Zelda for decades, the fan base for this concert is growing exponentially, and we are ready to deliver an unforgettable experience.”

To commemorate the tour, the Nintendo World Store will also host a special event on Friday, September 14 from 6-9pm. The event will feature an interactive workshop with ocarina expert David “Docjazz”. It will also include a ‘mini concert’ and photo opportunities for Nintendo fans. 

The orchestra will be conducted by Eimar Noone with music arrangements by musical director Chad Siefer.
