Nintendo intend for the next few months to be exciting for their fans, with an assortment of new hardware and games on the way for both the 3DS XL and Wii U.
On the 22nd of March, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released on both consoles. The new game can be played locally with up to four players on the 3DS, while owners of the Wii U can opt to create online hunting parties with up to three other players.
To celebrate the game’s release, Nintendo will be releasing the Wii U Limited Edition Monster 3 Ultimate Premium Pack, which includes a copy of the game as well as black Wii U console with 32 GB of memory and a black Wii U Pro controller. The 3DS XL will also be getting a special release to coincide with the game: the Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Limited Edition Pack containing a black 3DS with Monster Hunter 3 preloaded. For those wanting to try out the game on either console, a demo will be available on Nintendo’s eShop from the 22nd of February.
In addition, Nintendo have announced the 3DS XL Circle Pad Pro, a piece of hardware that is designed to supplement the existing 3DS by adding a second thumb-stick to the 3Ds XL. The Circle Pad is designed to work with Monster Hunter 3 and other selected Nintendo titles, and will launch in Europe on March 22nd.
On April 19, Nintendo will also be releasing the popular 3Ds game Fire Emblem: Awakening across Europe. In celebration of this, the company has launched an exclusive blue 3DS XL that has been emblazoned with art from the game. This promotional console comes with a copy of Fire Emblem: Awakening preloaded and will launch on the same day that the game itself goes retail. A demo of the game will be available online from early April.
