PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate Free in PlayStation’s June Instant Game Collection
At the end of every month, PlayStation releases the games that will be apart of their Instant Game Collection, which PlayStation Plus users will receive for free. For the month of June on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Plus users will be able to download and play PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate.
PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is a game developed by Double Eleven and PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is a game that will combine the first two entries in this game and given a PlayStation 4 makeover. The mechanics are much the same though it’s still a fun, twin stick shooter with elements of action, exploration, and puzzle solving.
Also, PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate will have cross-play support which mean PlayStation Vita owners can play against PlayStation 4 owners in the same game.
Mark South of Double Eleven had this to say:
“We don’t ever just port a game, we work to improve the whole experience of the game when we bring it to a new platform and Shooter Ultimate is no exception, everything feels fresh and new.”
Dylan Cuthbert, of Q-Games, said that:
“Double Eleven have done an incredible job with this title, the PS4 visuals are eye-poppingly gorgeous and the controls are slippery slick, fans of the original are really going to enjoy the changes.”
I’m also happy to report that trophy hunters will have the opportunity to obtain the Platinum Trophy in PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate. This was added in by Double Eleven “due to popular demand.”
