Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced the list of finalists for PlayStation’s next intern. The internship offers a chance of a lifetime for anyone looking to gain experience in the gaming industry. The month long position is hosted by Swedish Studio Tarsier and will be awarded to the finalist who has created the minigame using the recently released PlayStation Vita title Little Big Planet.
The overall winner will be flown to Sweden where they will spend one month working within the different departments of Tarsier. The winner will also receive their title from amateur excellence and a piece of published content for the Little Big Planet community to enjoy.
Sackboy’s first adventure on the PlayStation Vita hit game stores on September 19th and the prospective interns had one month to get to grips with the games new minigame feature. They had to submit their efforts by October 10th.
To test and review each entry PlayStation assembled a crack team of portable gaming expertss from across Europe. These PlayStation judges have tested each minigame, putting them through their paces before selecting the best entries from each country. PlayStation have also collaborated with Moleskine to create custom edition Little Big Planet notebooks. The top finalists from each participating country will each receive one of these.
The final decision will now be handed over to the team at Tarsier, the games studio behind Little Big Planet PlayStation Vita to choose the overall winner. Each submission will be judged on gameplay, originality, and commercial appeal.
