Two new character classes are introduced in both factions for Primal Carnage: The quick and deadly Raptor; along with the calm, careful Trapper.
Releasing a new shooter in the market is like releasing your pet fish in a cat breed/trick show groomed from professional breeders. Developers taking this risk are more likely to get their pet eaten with fava beans and a nice Chianti by the winning cat. However Lukewarm Media believes that if they strap on some dinosaur DNA to their fish then they might be able to stand out against the Call of Duty Persian or Battlefield Maine Coon. The new trailer showcasing two new classes for Primal Carnage have been revealed, and there is a lot of angry dinosaurs roaming around in it.
The first class shown in the new Primal Carnage trailer is the fast, powerful, intelligent, and agile Raptor. The tiny creature might be the smallest of the playable dinosaur classes, but they are lethal in packs. It can move fast through the jungle, creeping up on unsuspecting targets and pounce on them like Hunters from Left 4 Dead. However they have little health and defenses against the arsenal from the human team, so a shotgun blast or a stream of fire could kill them quickly.
What could make Raptors rage-quit their server in Primal Carnage is the calm, well-equipped Trapper with his Netgun. Dinosaurs rely on their speed and mobility to get an edge on their mammal foes, and getting a tough net wrapped around them robs this advantage. A raptor could easily fall prone if caught in a net, or a large predator could be blinded by the thick mesh. The Trapper could switch his Netgun out for dual pistols if he needs to deliver lethal damage, but his strength is making dinosaurs prone for the kill from other mercenaries.
Primal Carnage is nearing its beta stage, with no release date set. Visit their Web site for more information or sign up for Beta access to try out the new classes.
