In light of the two new Pokemon games launching this fall, the Pokemon Company International is already getting a head start on things with the new Pokemon World Championship. Anyone who purchases either Pokemon Black Version 2 or Pokemon White Version 2 will have an opportunity to compete against the previous Champions winning teams.
According to the Pokemon Company International, 12 finalists from the previous competition will be available as in-game challenges, so players can train and test their skills against the award winning teams, right in their own game. These elder champions include Ray Rizzo, who conqured everyone without breaking a sweat with his lineup of Tyranitar, Garchomp, Cresselia, Hydreigon, Metagross, and Rotom. Since this tournament is entirely in game, the champions will not only have their winning lineups of Pokemon, but will also have all of their moves, abilities, held items, and natures which they carefully set up for the real-world competition.
This all kicks off on October 22nd as long as you have a connection through the Nintendo Wi-fi Service. Once you've got that down, Pokemon World Tournament Events will unlock featuring those finalists, and each one will have a Champion from the proper Pokemon World Championship age division. You can find all of these top trainers in Unova region’s Driftveil City, which is a great overall place to train against the best gym leaders, as well as these real-world elites.
Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 will be released on October 12th in the UK. Any players who are interested in the tournament should pick up their copy on Nintendo DS or the 3DS and connect to some sort of wireless internet to be ready for the tournament. More detailed dates for the three distributions and further instructions on how to participate will be shown in the near future on October 15th. Also, keep your eyes open for the complete list of finalists to be included in the distribution too.
