Digimon Masters’ Lead Developers were put in the hot seat today, as Joymax, leading online game developer and publisher have released a fan led interview for Digimon Masters.
Digimon Masters has been gathering player questions for over a month, that will be aimed at the lead developers for the free-to-play MMORPG, based on the popular Japanese animation series, Digimon. Fans asked as many questions as they could, including questions about revealing future details, aswell as the PvP system updates.
The most anticipated question for fans of Digimon Masters were hoping to hear, was if there was going to be a reveal of a new Tamer character for players to choose as a starter. The developer gave a hint that the upcoming character will be “related to the surveys conducted through their official website” and that fans should be looking forward to this new content by the end of the year.
Fans had a lot of questions about Digimon Masters, and naturally the most raised question by many fans, was the implementation of the PvP system, known as the “Battle System” and when this would be added to Digimon Masters. The Battle System would allow players to test their Digimons’ skill against other players’ Digimons in an intense PvP battle.
In answering this question, the developers noted that with them having to find replacement programmers, as well as several balancing issues, they chose to scrap the project and start it over. The new battle system is in the pipeline to be ready for 2013, after they finish up a couple more updates and additions.
Digimon Masters is an upcoming 3D free-to-play MMORPG based on the famous Japanese TV animation series, and is the first of its kind. It will feature over 1,000 characters from seasons 1 through 5, and will satisfy both loyal fans of the series, and the average gamer as it will follow the story line closely.
