Rumble young man rumble! Real Boxing announced for the PlayStation Vita and you can expect it this August.
Developed by Vivid Games and powered by the Unreal Engine 3, Real Boxing heads to the PlayStation Vita this August and will be available via PlayStation Network. Real Boxing looks to deliver the most comprehensive sporting games ever delivered in a handheld. Based on the features included Vivid Games looks to cater to boxing fans looking for, pardon the pun, a real boxing game.
Remi Koscielny, CEO of Vivid Games, made a statement about what you can expect from Real Boxing:
“Real Boxing is as close as you can get to the real sport without lacing up a pair of gloves and getting into the ring. We’ve put everything fans love about the sport of boxing into the Vita, making it one of the most comprehensive sports titles available for the system.”
Real Boxing includes customizing your boxer, real-time deformation technology (which portrays injuries to the boxer’s face), real-time commentary, slow-motion replays, and a dynamic crowd that looks to capture the atmosphere of a big fight. Plus, a career mode where you can take your boxer and rise him up the ranks. From an amateur standout to a professional superstar. Also, each boxer will have their own unique style. Fighters have been motion captured for added realism. So, every punch thrown, to how a boxer moves, should be unique and different depending on the boxer’s style.
Real Boxing announced for the PlayStation Vita is a match made in heaven for me. I’m a boxing fan and I love my PlayStation Vita. So, for Vivid Games to port Real Boxing to the PlayStation Vita is fantastic news to me. And based on the features on paper it looks like the boxing game I’ve always wanted to have and I hope that Vivid Games is able to deliver a fantastic, realistic, boxing experience. We’ll have more news about Real Boxing within the couple of months regarding a price, and a more specific release date.
