Nintendo have announced that they are offering an extra incentive to gamers who purchase a 3DS XL. Nintendo are offering a free downloadable game to anyone who purchases and registers a 3DS XL between June 2012 and January 15, 2013. If 3DS owners register their 3DS XL through Club Nintendo before the 15th January 2013, they will recieve a free 3DS game from the 3DS eShop.
The Nintendo 3DS XL boasts 90% bigger screens than its predecessor. The console also has a larger battery life capacity and is bundled with a SD Card.
Gamers who already own a 3DS XL can also take advantage of this offer. Even if you bought a 3DS on release day in June you will qualify. To take advantage of the offer gamers should visit Club Nintendos site and register any Nintendo 3DS XL console before the 15th January.
Once registered, players will be able to choose from one of five top 3DS games. These games are Super Mario 3D Land, Freakyforms Deluxe Your Creations, Alive!, New Art Academy: Learn New Painting Techniques and Share Your Art, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask and Nintendo presents: New Style Boutique. Those who register their console will then receive a code to download the game in the Nintendo 3DS eShop. All of the games retail on the 3DS eShop at around £30 – 40 pounds.
Super Mario 3D Land is the series first release on the 3DS. The game combines elements from both traditional 2D Mario side-scrolling games and modern free-roaming 3D Mario games. Super Mario 3D Land also introduces new power ups and mechanics to the series.
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask is the first Professor Layton game for 3DS. The game is the sequel to Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call. In the game, Layton and his companions set out to stop a mysterious ‘Masked Gentleman’ who is terrorising the city of Monte d’Or with his magically dark miracles.
New Art Academy gives gamers and non-gamers alike the chance to explore their artistic skills. The game teaches players a number of painting and drawing techniques. Nintendo presents: New Style Boutique, allows gamers to own and run their own fashion boutique.
The offer is valid in the following countries: UK & Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal and Russia. All Nintendo 3DS XL systems purchased since release in July 2012, including Nintendo 3DS XL Hardware Bundles, are eligible for this promotion.
Registration to Club Nintendo is necessary to take advantage of this offer.
