A project from Nnooo known as escapeVektor, has just received a release date and price. Allow me to pause for a moment and comment on the fact that the names of many game studios are giving a lot of spellcheck users a headache. EscapeVektor will be available on the PS Vita on January 22nd for $9.99. This edition of the game will contain 150 levels, 27 different worlds, 3 types of online leaderboards, and an assortment of enemies and obstacles. The game also uses something called “Wildcards” which are awarded to players based on their performance and will award players with additional points if they complete a level.
EscapeVektor follows an entity within a CPU named Vektor. The CPU has been unkind to Vektor as it has been keeping him (it?) captive. Players help Vektor escape by avoiding obstacles and enemies whose difficulty will increase as the player advances through different levels. True to every video game story, Vektor is fuzzy about his past. As the player advances through the story and fights back the army of the CPU, they will learn more about Vektor’s memories. I’m guessing Vektor isn’t an entity, but a computer virus who spent most of his time hacking into people’s computers to post videos of playful kittens and turn the user’s cursor into a tiny, meowing cat. He’s a bit new to this whole virus thing, but don’t worry. I’m sure he’ll be sending spammy emails and stealing people’s identities in no time.
