Remember Me Trailer Offers New Story Details

Remember Me, a new title from Capcom, will allow gamers to play as a memory hunter (think Inception) in 2084 in Neo Paris. I’ve heard of Neo Tokyo, but never Neo Paris. The latest trailer gives players a look at this new version of Paris, and the results are attractive. The protagonist of Remember Me is Nilin, a woman who suffers from amnesia, also known as the most common affliction that plagues video game protagonists. Now there’s an idea for a meta game. You have to uncover the identity of the nefarious individual who is giving everyone amnesia. Nilin is trying to do her job as a memory hunter, recover her lost past, and find out why anyone would want to take her memories. Maybe she knows all of the secret herbs and spices in Kentucky Fried Chicken. That would collapse the entire future economy of Neo USA, whose greatest export is fast food. In fact, that might collapse the current US economy.

Remember-Me-action

The newest trailer for Remember Me shows Nilin scaling buildings, engaging in dramatic dialogue, and fighting a guy who appears to have a deep and undying love for steroids and protein shakes. It also shows a robot play the piano, which is cool. Who knew robots were such big patrons of the arts? The trailer also uses that new thing that is in every trailer about a dystopian future: for a while, you had to make everything gray and homely in order to make it dystopian, but now you have to have inexplicable static and shakiness to the footage. I mean, it is 2084. They really couldn’t invest in a decent camera?
