SAINTS ROW IV UP IN YOUR FACE – FIVE (COUNT THEM, FIVE) DLC PACKS NOW AVAILABLE
Saints Row IV was one of those special games. In the way that it was good but also in that its was the kind of game a developer would make in drunken break up/Vietnam flashback. It was crazy and it knew it. In fact I wrote a review for it on this very site. Go on, check it out. I’ll wait….Anyway, the game is determined to not be forgotten and as a result, it has released 5 Saints Row IV DLC packs at once. Nice move Saints Row IV but after the performance you gave late last year, I doubt we’ll be forgetting you anytime soon.
The first one going for sale is the “reverse cosplay” pack in which there are two outfits up for grabs. The Professor Genki Space Pimp outfit which is pretty self explanatory and the Freckle B*tches outfit in which you can dress up as the mascot of the famous fast food joint from the first two games. Also its free so there’s literally no reason to not currently own this pack.
Next up is a more unique item. The Polariser is going for a price of $.99 and includes a unique weapon that uses magnets to draw things in, pedestrians, cars, furry mascots etc and releases them all in one huge people explosion.
The other three are more what you’d expect. All going for $2.99 are the College Daze, Game on and Bling Bling packs. College Daze lets you get your Greek on with fraternity and sorority outfits with beer and bra hats. Game On is less about video games and more about the more conventional games. You can get hockey gear as an outfit and drive the bad-ass Puck-Truck or if you prefer sports of the more Gentlemanly disposition, the pack also includes a golf club with some fairway formal duds. With a name like Bling Bling, you’d expect the pack to add more jewellery options but in actuality, it grants you some new powers such as the ability to turn people into gold with the Midas touch or throw dollar bills at enemies allowing you to effectively be the most obnoxious superhero ever. Well, except for maybe Booster Gold.
