Buckle up folks as Serious Sam 3 has been released onto Xbox Live Arcade. Prepare for endless explosions, action, blood, guts, monsters and more as you battle foes on a large amount of different landscapes varying from Egypt's desert to what look like ancient tombs holding all kinds of foes within.
To celebrate it's release Croteam has released a new trailer that is just non stop explosions and action, which is something fans of Serious Sam have come to love, enjoy and expect from such a game. The trailer even shows off a very Indiana Jones inspired sequence where a boulder chases you down a narrow stretch.
Within Serious Sam 3, you will be fighting many enemies in large open landscapes, which is a pretty traditional thing for Serious Sam. You will also be able to hold 13 different weapons at one time including machine guns and rocket launchers. 5 of the weapons have a manual reload, whereas in previous Serious Sam games there have only been one which was your trusty pistol. As well as that change, the well known close-combat weapons from the first game, the knife and chainsaw, have been replaced with a sledgehammer with three modes of attack. Another thing that Croteam has changed with Serious Sam 3 is that life doesn't regenerate, instead you must find health and armour that has been littered within levels.
Classic enemies return in this game such as the Beheaded Kamikaze, Beheaded Rocketeer and Kleer Skeleton, as well as appearing alongside new enemies such as the Khnum and Scrapjack as well as the cloned soldiers. Some enemies have been changed from their original design (such as the Gnaar) who no longer holds the design used within Serious Sam 2, whilst others have reverted to their original design, such as The Kamikaze within Serious Sam 3
Serious Sam 3 is available now on Xbox Live Arcade, however Playstation and PC releases have not yet been announced
