Atari announced that RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D is available for the 3DS with a host of new features. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D will be available for the handheld platform for $29.99. Players can now ride their own roller coasters and experience the thrill of the ride in 3D. I’ve always wanted to be a tycoon of some kind, but there isn’t a game where I get to manage other tycoons. Where is the MetaTycoon or TycoonTycoon game? Get on that, games industry. You could combine zoos, amusement parks, city management, and prison systems into one game about tycoon management. Imagine if that was available for the 3DS. Then you could see everything in your tycoon empire fall apart when the leopards break out and completely rezone your city while a host of escaped convicts raise the height requirement for the rides at the amusement park.
I want to see those leopards try to work around the byzantine bureaucracy of city management, and I want to see that stuff in 3D.
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D Introduce a number of new elements, including a mode called “Coaster Story” that creates a story around the events of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D. I’m guessing it is about a man with terrible vertigo who dreams of building a roller coaster. His body says no, but his heart says go. So he rides a roller coaster only to find out what his stomach has to say, and things don’t go well.
The new game also allows players to take pictures of themselves on a ride and send it to their friends. Finally, you can invite your Mii friends to your theme park, and hear them complain that the food choices are limited and the tickets are too expensive. Being a tycoon is not easy.
