Aliens have come 17.3 billion lights years to kick human’s rear, but you can tell them to go back in 2022 Space Invasion!
The top-down shooter or “bullet-hell” games are a rare breed with the hardcore, console gamers. These games started on consoles with games like R-Type or the classic Space Invaders. But when you bring up nightmares like Silver Surfer and you might get some old gamers passing out, clutching at their heart from remembering that it was the only game they could afford in their youth. Bullet-hell games like these seem to have a niche audience with the Japanese market, and Japanese gamers do love their mobile gaming. So what better way to marry the two with Maysalward’s 2022 Space Invasion, a bullet-hell game that lets you fly in 2D and in 3D space?
The premise for 2022 Space Invasion is kept simple so you can focus on blasting strangers from across the galaxy: The ‘Orion Explorer’ discovers that aliens have infiltrated the Earth’s atmosphere, and it seems like they are not here to put their glowing fingers to our cut fingers or sing at us. So a group of highly trained fighters blast off in their ship to communicate with the aliens by rubbing their bullets at high velocity with each other.
There are three unique missions in 2022 Space Invasion: In the first you are meant to protect the ‘Orion Explorer’ from the alien invaders. In the second mission, the enemy ships have shields which prevents them from being shot down, so you have to look for and retrieve energy particles to disable the shields (just roll with it). Finally, you will deliver the pain to the aliens by infiltrating their own base, and then communicate in the only way possible war ships can communicate with. Throw in an upgrading system for your ship where you can purchase drones and individual parts to make you faster and deliver greater damage, and you might have a chance to save Earth!
2022 Space Invasion is available only on the App Store for the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad. Download the game for free at the App Store!
