Skylanders Trap Team Release Date Announced For October 2014
Activision has announced that the next Skylanders – Skylanders: Trap Team – will be available in Europe on October 10th for last gen and current gen consoles. The PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, and Wii U.
Much like the previous Skylanders games, players will be able to multiple players, but the twist in Skylanders: Trap Team is that this game features a new type of item. As you might have guessed the new item is called “the trap.” Traps are, basically, used to turn enemy characters and turn them into good characters.
Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc.had this to say:
“When we created Skylanders, we invented a new category of play and, in the process, disrupted two industries – videogames and toys. With each new Skylanders game, our commitment to continuous, disruptive innovation has led to surprising and delightful new ways for kids to play with toys and games. With Skylanders Trap Team, we’re no longer just letting kids bring their toys to life inside the game anymore. This time, we’re letting them pull their toys out of the game as well. We are confident this instalment of Skylanders will once again redefine what’s possible at the intersection of the physical and virtual worlds.”
On April 23rd, fans can pre-order Skylanders: Trap Team where the incentive is you will get special offers at select retail stores worldwide.
Skylanders: Trap Team will be available October 10th in Europe, on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Nintendo Wii, and Wii U.
Also, it’s worth noting that one the Nintendo 3DS, Activision states that the handheld will have a “completely unique adventure.” So there’s that.
