Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell is back, with an all new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist!
Playing as Sam Fisher, the lead protagonist, you will now have three options in Splinter Cell: Blacklist, you can either go stealth as a Ghost, be a predator and quickly take out your enemy as a Panther or go all out as an Assault Operator where you cannot leave a trail behind.
It is vital to be as silent as possible, when you are a Ghost, the reason for this is because stealth is the key – without it your enemy will quickly identify you and your time as Sam Fisher will be finished sharply. As a Ghost you will be able to infiltrate enemy buildings and key locations without a trace; you can use non-lethal take downs, instead of weaponry, to quickly silence your target. As well as the vast range of weapons and combat skills that Sam Fisher carries, you can use your handy versatile drone to deal with your enemy by marking them for take down, distracting them to creep past an area or to simply neutralize them to get past! You should avoid detection at all costs, because if you get noticed then there is little chance that you will survive; but with your handy goggles you can track your enemy almost anywhere. With the addition of sleeping gas to your weapons, you can take down single or multiple enemies without evening firing a single bullet. Ghost is the ultimate way to complete a mission without being detected or using one lethal weapon.
In contrast to being a Ghost, an Assault Operator can forget all about stealth – instead they must remember to take out every last target, with not one single witness left behind. If you become detected, by a large quantity of enemies, use your last known position to deceive the eyes of your enemy and gain the upper hand to catch them from behind! As well as this, you can now use human-shields to take out the vast majority of enemy targets by clutching them in front of you whilst you walk towards the remaining enemies, if there are too many enemies in one area then simply use the human-shield as a destructive device, strap a C4 to their chest and throw them towards the enemy!
As a Panther, you will be mixing both Ghost and Assault together as you will be undetected yet extremely lethal. Using your predatory skills you can permanently silence your prey, whilst staying undetected. If hiding in the shadows is your thing, then you can simply wait until your enemy approaches you and you can then leap out from the shadows like a ferocious tiger! You can mark targets from a distance and then quickly execute them with your silenced Five-Seven pistol. When in close-quarters, use your karambit – a boomerang-like lethal weapon to quickly slice your enemies.
The decision is yours – Ghost, Assault or Panther.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist releases in North America on August 20th, August 22nd in EMEA territories and August 23rd in the UK.
