For people with Starwars: The Old Republic, ‘Allies’, a free update is now available for download, making this the third update the game has had.
Allies adds features the community has been asking for, including a Group Finder, Ranked PvP Warzones, Adaptive Gear, and enhancements to the Legacy system, and more.
“We are living up to our commitment in setting a new bar for what players should expect from a premium MMO service,” said Matthew Bromberg, General Manager of BioWare Austin. “In just six months, we have already released three major game updates that have added new content and game features that have addressed the feedback from our fans. And we are just getting started. By the end of this year, we are adding more Warzones, more Flashpoints, more Operations, more updates to the Legacy System, new companions, new storylines and more. We are very excited about the future.”
Group Finder makes matches much easier to find online, connecting you with players that want to carry out the same Flashpoint or Operation as you, without making things unbalanced in combat.
Ranked Warzones means you can create a group, battle in ranked warzones and then track your performance against other players.
Legacy Character Perks allows you to customize how you level up your characters. If you prefer space combat, you can choose this as your personal best perk, allowing more levelling to happen whilst in this mode, or you may prefer PvP, Group Missions, or Flashpoints.
Other bonuses include piloting a vehicle at level 10, earning bonus affection, and being able to reallocate skill points in the field.
Adaptive Gear allows you to wear your favourite social gear into comabt, but still allowing you to enjoy the bonuses from your best combat gear.
