Tenshi Ventures Provides Funds To nDreams

Tenshi Ventures has proudly announced yesterday that they will be giving Production Finance to the UK developer nDreams. The money is intended to provide additional support to nDreams work in progress, Blueprint: Home for PlayStation Home. Tenshi Ventures has been a privately owned investment and consultive group since 2010, first created by Jonathan Newth and Ian Baverstock. The advisory group primarily works in accordance with video games, internet, and interactive markets.

CEO of nDreams Patrick O’Lunaigh says “Tenshi’s Production Finance model helped us get Blueprint: Home into production substantially earlier than we would have been able to funding it from our cashflow. This allowed us to capitalise on an opportunity which we may otherwise have missed. Tenshi have been a great production partner, and working with them has been a pleasure.”

A partner at Tenshi Ventures, Jonathan Newth has also commented on the matter, stating “The Production Finance we have provided to nDreams for this project will, we hope, be a model for future content financing in the Games Industry. Blueprint: Home is already receiving great critical feedback and we are very proud to have been part of the team that helped nDreams realise their vision for player constructed apartments in PlayStation Home.”

nDreams is based out of Farnborough in the UK, and was started back in 2007 by Patrick O’Luanaigh, who also happens to be the previous Creative Director at Eidos. nDreams started with only 1 person, and has since grown into a company of 25 full time staff with revenues of more then 1 million euros per year. The UK studio was also the developer of Aurora, a free-to-play online console game based on Playstation Home. In addition to that,  nDreams has also developed for the Xbox 360, and is currently hard at work on their first ever tablet project.
