29th November 2012 – 10:00 UK – Developer Codemasters, creators of the F1 series on current generation consoles today announced F1 ONLINE: THE GAME will be lengthened with boosts of fresh features with brand new tracks to race upon a wide-ranging update launching today.

F1 Online: The Game is a free-to-play online racing and management game which invites and encourages players to create and develop their own racing team from the ground up. Yes it’s the real deal; Codemasters Studios are under exclusive worldwide agreement with Formula One World Championship Limited.

F1 Online: The Game mixes instinctive top-down racing gameplay with the ability to create and grow as you play. Players will have a huge choice of multiplayer races across a range of game modes. Also players will choose how to develop their team HQ and create, customise and upgrade their very own racing car, to lead their team to victory.

F1 Online: The Game

Currently in a Beta period, F1 Online: The Game today adds three new circuits in Japan which can be raced with up to a massive 24 players online. Using the existing licensed circuits and expanding the fictional environments to six, the new Japan routes are inspired by Tokyo and offer three different street racing challenges.

‘Kitamachi Kaido’ has a short sprint through a financial district with tough and aggressive corners, the ‘Higashi Kokado’ is a high-speed race through docklands that includes a spectacular elevated expressway and the ‘Ryokuen Route’ is a widespread race in which players speed through parks and past Imperial Palaces.

F1 Online: The Game will continue to bring updates during this time including all-new High-Performance A-Class components, new Team Headquarters upgrades and a new friends system which will enable players to invite friends to a race. Team Objectives will extend the game further and players will now be able to sign-up and login to the game via Facebook.

I've been a gamer since the NES days where I still love my retro games today. I'm an all-rounder when it comes to genre but my favorite types are story-driven games. I'm pretty competitive when it comes to playing online so be sure to bring it!
