EA announced today that the Sims 3 Supernatural Expansion Pack is now available at retailers worldwide and for digital download on the PC and Mac. In ‘The Sims 3 Supernatural’, players will be able to experience the madness of the werewolves’ full moon, the menace of vampires, the magic of witches, and even the mischief of fairies as they explore the all new world of Moonlight Falls.
Kari St John, the senior producer for the Sims Studio spoke about the expansion commenting:
This expansion pack adds a new, magical dimension to the Sims experience, opening up a world of storytelling possibilities.”… “We’re excited to put creative tools in the hands of our players, giving them the ability to tell contemporary stories inspired by this supernatural theme.”
In the Sims 3 Supernatural players can have their Sims can live out lives as werewolves, fairies, witches and even vampires. All species will be completely customizable in the ‘Create A Sim’ tool.
In the game each species can take part in different activities. Witches will be able to challenge one another in spell casting duels or show off their skills in the magic broom arena. Werewolf Sims can look for collectibles and change at will between their human and wolf forms. Fairies will be able to play pranks and cast beneficial auras to heal and calm other Sims. In the game vampire Sims will stalk the night and use their vampiric seduction to create other vampires.
The Sims 3 Supernatural will offer a new cast of supernatural characters and a host of new gameplay features for all Sims in the game, whether they are supernatural or not. Players can choose to build their Sims’s alchemy skills. They can also mix a variety of potent elixirs ranging from love potions, vampire sunscreen and even a zombification brew. Players will be able to collect rar ingredients and hone their potion skills to reach the status of master alchemist. In the game Sims can also explore the new world of Moonlight and uncover many hidden secrets.
In the Sims 3 Supernatural players will be able to control the lunar cycle in their game for the first time. When there is a full moon, players will notice strange events and changes in their Sims magical ability as both supernatural and ordinary characters will be affected. Players can also adapt the duration of the lunar cycle or choose to play with a continuous full moon for an especially strange and enchanted game experience.
In the Sims 3 Supernatural, players will be able to discover a new world filled with supernatural Sims, curses and charms, unpredictable transformations, high-flying hijinks and a number of other spooky surprises.
