It may have taken over 18 months but today depending on when you’re reading this (most used comment on site) sees the release of Two Tribes Toki Tori 2 on the Wii U eShop and to celebrate they’ve released this trailer. Toki Tori 2 is the sequel to the Game Boy Colour original that was released over 12 years ago.
For those who don’t know Toki Tori 2 is a puzzle adventure game with the player playing as the main character who Toki Tori where his peaceful home gets corrupted by a black substance that kind of resembles oil.
In order to help Toki get through the levels Toki has two abilities to manipulate the environment and the creatures in it. You can stomp which can be used to say lower pillars or scare the creatures around you away from you. Whistling on the other hand can be used to perform songs for various effects or bring creatures towards you.
Along with using these two abilities you’ll also have to use the environment to help two like getting Toki’s fur wet to make cut grass grow.
What you can’t tell in this picture is that the bird bird is blind and thinks that Toki is her lost child.
While these two abilities sounds sort of limiting in order to complete puzzles experimenting with these two abilities will be key to solving the clearing the game so there are hopefully multiple solutions to really make the most out of Toki’s abilities.
