Turn-Based RPG Lords of Xulima reaches Crowdfunding Goal

‘Lords of Xulima’ to launch on PC after funding target it reached

Numantian Games, an independent game developer, has announced that the crowdfunding goal for Lords of Xulima has been reached. Lords of Xulima is to be an epic turn-based role-playing game for PC, inspired by iconic titles like the Might & Magic series.

But Numantian Games aren’t resting on their laurels, and instead are hoping to raise even more money to fulfil stretch-goals that they’ve set for themselves, to enable them to provide an even better experience for the players. Click here to go and donate to the cause.

Well, it certainly looks like Might & Magic.

Well, it certainly looks like Might & Magic.

Numantian Games are focussing on gameplay, promising to offer immersive gameplay that leaves the player hesitant to put the game down, but they’ve also promised significant visual efforts, a huge amount of animations and detail and realistic, engaging audio and sound effects that the company hopes will provide a well-rounded and interesting experience much like the classic Might & Magic and Ultima games.

Numantian Games are putting a lot of emphasis on the environment and world in which the game is set, in order to fully flesh out the game experience, and they promise the world to be challenging and provide a complex arena for the turn-based battles.

Importantly for a turn-based RPG game, Lords of Xulima promises to offer a wide variety of weapons and abilities to give players the opportunity to play exactly as they want to, with each having tactical advantages and weaknesses against different opponents. Numantian Games promises to offer a system that is easy enough for complete RPG beginners to enjoy, but complex enough for more experienced gamers to really get their teeth stuck in to, with over 100 enchantments available for weapons, and there’s even the opportunity to combine enchantments and weapons to produce devastating special attacks.

There’s no word on when exactly the game will be released yet, this is definitely a big step in the process towards making Lords of Xulima an actuality.
