UK fans can play the Xbox One at Eurogamer Expo 2013

UK fans will be able to get their first play of the Xbox One at Eurogamer Expo 2013 later this month, two months before the console hits shelves.

The Eurogamer Expo 2013, running from Thursday 26th September to Sunday 29th September in Earl’s Court, London, will give attendees the chance to play the new console on the show floor. Visitors will have the chance to try out a host of the games set to launch on the console, including Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Killer Instinct, Kinect Sports Rivals and highly-anticipated indie game, Project Spark. If that’s not enough to wet anyone’s appetite, then Microsoft will also be providing a demonstration of exclusive launch title Dead Rising 3 for the crowd at the expo.

Microsoft are also putting on an exclusive Xbox One presentation, hosted by corporate vice president Phil Harrison, at 12pm on the Thursday of Eurogamer, as part of the developer sessions. For those not lucky enough to attend, the presentation is due to be streamed live online on http://www.youtube.com/eurogamer.

This news comes just days after Microsoft finally announced the release date of the hotly-anticipated console: November 22nd. Microsoft also announced a new batch of pre-order consoles that are now available at retailers across the UK, for anyone who hasn’t managed to reserve their copy of the console yet.

This year’s Eurogamer Expo is expected to be the biggest ever, with 70,000 gamers expected to descend upon Earl’s Court to try and get a sneak peak at what’s to come over the next few months of gaming. Tickets for the event sold out a while ago, which is unsurprising given the line-up of games on display at the event. On top of the PS4 and Xbox One at Eurogamer Expo 2013,, there are a whole host of titles available to demo, including Pokemon X & Y, The Elder Scrolls Online, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Battlefield 4, Dark Souls II and Bayonetta II. There will also be developer sessions where a lot of next-gen games have been teased for presentation.

The event will also feature games by smaller, indie developers for fans to have a go of, as well as tournaments, cosplay opportunities and plenty of chances to meet and chat with other like-minded gamers who are probably as equally excited about the next few months of gaming as every other gamer in the world! There’s really something for everyone available at the event, so if you’re lucky enough to have tickets then it’s bound to be a fantastic weekend.
