Charles Martinet; the voice of Mario since 1995. He also provides the voice work for many other characters such as Luigi, Waluigi, Toadsworth, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi and many other Super Mario characters.
Fans of the Super Mario franchise will be in for a real treat as on Friday 6th of September, Charles Martinet will be visiting GAME in Birmingham’s Bullring all day. 2013 marks the 30th anniversary of Luigi’s introduction in Super Mario Bros. This may be the only opportunity fans will get an autograph and a photograph with this gaming celebrity taking place in the GAME store. Exclusive posters and game sleeves will be handed out to the fans whilst they wait in line for their photograph. There will also be people dressed in Mario and Luigi costumes which you can get your photograph with.
Getting an autograph isn’t the only thing that you’ll be able to do in this event as there will be many games available to play such as Mario Kart 7 and the New Super Mario Bros. 2 on the Nintendo 3DS which you can play throughout the day. Lee Hunt, the Local Marketing Manager for GAME says,
We cannot wait to welcome Charles Martinet, one of the ultimate gaming celebrities into the store. Charles is such a popular figure in the gaming world and we’re really excited to be able to offer the UK gaming community the chance to meet the man behind so many iconic characters. 2013 is already a huge year for Nintendo fans, with Luigi’s 30th anniversary and some amazing games on the horizon, it’s great to offer the community another reason to celebrate – Lee Hunt
If your attending this event it’s urged that you bring along your 3DS or 3DS XL’s to increase your StreetPass hits. This event goes through the whole day from 11am to 1pm and it then continues from 2pm and ends at 4pm.
