HeroCraft and Games Workshop have announced that they are coming together to make the next installment in the Warhammer 40,000 series Space Wolf. Both parties are excited to be working with one another and see this as an excellent opportunity to expand upon and improve the Warhammer 40,000 series. The game is under development for the IOS, Android, and PC platforms. The game is scheduled for release in 2014.
This new game is a fusion of 3-D combat and turn based combat with trading cards. The space wolves can be seen in a full and engaging 3-D environment, but players must play the cards in order to experience the 3-D environment. There are hundreds of cards available as well as deck building templates to allow the player to ease into the gameplay. The player can still customize their deck to suit their playing style and winning matches provides the player with access to even more cards and utilities. There is also a special forge where players can evolve their cards to further elevate their play style.
Warhammer 40,000 Space Wolf features a fully immersing campaign. There are a wide variety of story lines for the player to explore. The games take place on a distant planet rich with engaging and hostile environments. Two types of enemies were also announced. The Word Bearers are servants of the chaos gods and the Necrons have recently awoken to conquer the galaxy. There are a variety of paths to choose from including Grey Hunter, Wolf Scout, Blood Claw, and Wolf Guard. Players are free choose whichever path best suits their playing style.
