If you’ve ever had the desire to build a zoo, or live out your best Matt Damon impersonation, this is the game for you. Excalibur Publishing today announced Zoo Park: Run Your Own Animal Sanctuary will be available on May 3, 2013 for PC and Mac.
Zoo Park aims to bring the grand experience of running and maintaining an animal sanctuary to your desktop. You’ll have to care for over 30 different animals, each with their own individual needs and habitat requirements. Some animals will require more vegetation, while others may require large roaming spaces. Others still may require large pools of water to swim in. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg – and it’s all part of the fun that goes into owning your very own animal sanctuary. You’ll also have to learn which animals can co-exist with one another to avoid one of them becoming a meal.
In addition to keeping your animals off the dinner menu, you’ll have to run and maintain your sanctuary. This includes creating a state of the art zoo, hiring staff, doing research, and managing rescue and rehabilitation programs. As your zoo grows, so do your responsibilities. If everything runs like clockwork you can expand your zoo to house more animals and attract the general public. Just don’t take on more than your facility can handle or your facility will lose its animals and its popularity.

Zoo Park asks the question: “Can you rescue, rehabilitate and research your animals to promote animal welfare education whilst constructing the ultimate zoo park to keep all your charges and visitors happy?” You can find out on May 3, 2013.
