Majesco, developers of the Zumba Fitness video game franchise have revealed the two finalists for the Rush 90-Day Challenge which involved people from around the world sending in video entries of their fitness goals and reasons as to why they would be good role models for Zumba.
The two finalists are Shad, a stay at home dad from Aurora, Illinois, and Daisy, a Disaster Housing Inspector Trainer from Winchester, Virginia.
Their goal – To get as fit as possible in 90 days, following a diet regime, and playing the game 4 times a week.

“The Zumba® Fitness video game franchise is not only an exhilarating at-home dance party, it’s an effective fitness tool that lets players burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour long class. We’re all very invested in Shad’s and Daisy’s progress and it’s been exciting to witness what they’ve accomplished thus far by just playing the game four days a week and eating healthier,”
said Liz Buckley, General Manager, Zumba Fitness Video Game Franchise, Majesco Entertainment.
“Our objective was to showcase real people with real fitness goals who could commit to the program, achieve their goals and in turn inspire others with their experience. With the same commitment to a regular at-home Zumba® Fitness game workout, anyone can mirror their results and discover a workout they love.”
The finalists both recieved a Xbox 360 Kinect bundle, The Zumba Fitness Rush video game, a HTC Radar video phone to record progress, a subscription to Z-Life (Zumba’s lifestyle magazine), a customized digital scale and a personal visit from celebrity Zumba® Fitness instructor Melissa Chiz!
She regularly keeps in touch to keep them motivated and set for a view of the finish line.
If they can complete the challenge, recording progress as they go to inspire others, they will both be awarded $2,000 each and their journey will be a part of a future Zumba Fitness video game.
Zumba Fitness Rush for Xbox 360 offers exercise that to most doesn’t feel like exercise named “exercise in disguise.”
The game allows you to get a full body workout, with 42 new songs and routines to power along too, and offers 24 different international dance styles (more so than any dance game around, and double the amount of the last game)
Master 45 pre-set classes or customise your own with your favourite tracks!
The new Progress Tracker also calculates calories burned, helping maximize the workout, and build up confidence that it is indeed working.
