New Allods (Instanced dungeons), ‘quick start’ client, and player referral bonuses appear in the expansion Allods Online: New Horizons.
Fans of gPotato’s free-to-play MMORPG Allods Online were in for a treat this year, if they attended Gamescom. They could hang out with the staff that works on the game, get their questions answered and see new content that will be released for the MMORPG. Now gPotato has released the latest expansion for the flying ship MMORPG with Allods Online: New Horizons.
There will be new “allods” in Allods Online: New Horizons (their version of instanced dungeons). One will be set in an underwater world, while another is inspired by a World War II battle for Stalingrad. Each allod will have their unique lore, bosses, and mechanics to keep players excited. Previous allods have been updated as well, such as the Tropical allod ‘holiday destination’. Players will find new prizes, costumes, and mini-games if they visit this allod, which celebrates the last month of summer. This might be bad news to kids since it reminds them that they have to get ready for school, but one prize might keep them interested in Allods Online: A new summer mount is provided for lucky players, the Tropicana Wolf.
The Allods Online: New Horizons expansion will include a new referral system, which rewards players for inviting new players. Successful invites means the existing players can earn exclusive sets of costumes, mounts, and animated vanity items. You might also win some popular items from the boutiqe, such as potions and re-specialization items. Any new players that accept the invite will get special gifts too, such as costumes, larger inventory, and scrolls that can boost the amount of experience they earn for any character created.
Allods Online: New Horizons will also tweak two popular archetypes in the game, the Paladin and Psionicist. The two archetypes will deliver greater damage in battle, and have more abilities to shape the outcome of a fight to their ideal conclusion Any character that reaches over level 15 will get seven days of unlimited specialization so they can experiment with what kind of build they would like for that avatar’s career.
