Wii Sports Club delivers a new Wii Sports experience on Wii U
Nintendo was excited to announce owners of their new system the Wii U a chance to experience Wii Fit by downloading a free thirty one trial that will start on November 1st. Players will be able to try out different activities at no charge. All that is required is the balancing board and a broadband internet connection and can unlock the time restriction by synching the fit meter.
The details were announced during the Nintendo Direct video and people who missed may watch it at http://nintendo.co.uk/nintendodirect. Laurent Fischer, Managing director for European Marketing and PR at Nintendo had the following to say:
Wii Fit U turns fitness into a fun, family experience. With this special offer, as well as new titles like Wii Party U, Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND and SUPER MARIO 3D WORLD launching this year, it’s the perfect time for families to experience the unique value and variety that owning a Wii U console can offer.
The trial will be available on the Nintendo eShop between November 1st, 2013 to January, 2014. With over 77 activities and 19 new training modes which will use the new Wii U GamePad, and the new Fit Meter will be released on November 1st with a choice of different colors ranging from black, green, and red.
The Fit Meter will track a wide range of different every day activities, and include recording the number of steps a player has taken and takes into account how much density has been used distinguishing between running and walking. other features include measuring altitude and calculating calories being burned which can be transferred to Wii Fit U using the GamePad.
New games will combine the Wii Balance board and the GamePad, that will be used to include new games featuring Yoga, strength training, and dance routines with hip hop music. Players can now also create their own custom workouts and join the online community to share tips at the Miiverse gym. For those who miss the free trial on November 1st can buy the game the Wii Fit sets on December 6th in two sets, one with the game disc and Fit Meter. The paid download will be available on the Nintendo eShop on February 1st, 2014.
