Chillingo, publisher of memorable mobile games like Angry Birds or Cut the Rope, will publish Wake up Buzii from iFun4all.
I think I’m noticing a similarity of numerous games on mobile devices like shooter games to consoles. No I don’t mean there are numerous shooter games on mobile devices (though there are some exceptions). But, am I the only one noticing that there seems to be a lot of arcade-style, physics puzzle games available for your phone or tablet? Apparently iFun4all and Chillingo doesn’t think so, as they partnered together to create Wake up Buzii for any mobile device.
“We are proud to be working with a partner such as Chillingo,” says Marlena Kolankowska, CEO of iFun4all, “Not only because they are one of the largest game publishers in the world, but also because they are a partner who understands the project, its requirements, and supports it at each stage, from the very beginning. It is a rare thing indeed to see a publisher involved in a project to this extent.”
Not much is known about Wake Up Buzii right now. The game will feature ‘beautiful, hand-drawn visuals’, ‘realistic gameplay physics’ and an incorrigible sleepyhead as the hero. The game will also give us insight on how a spider web would work.
Making a video game is tough, so getting any kind of support from a publisher like Chillingo to fund your game at every stage should be a good thing. However, given the vague description of what Wake Up Buzii is right now, I don’t know how it could be differentiated from other games on the mobile market. At least these games have more creativity by letting you build ships than showing off the warts of a toad. As we learn more information we’ll keep you guys up to date on what Chillingo and iFun4all are working on.
Wake up Buzii will be available at the end of this year for any iOS and Android device.
