Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller Season Pass Available

Reverb Publishing and Phoenix Online Studios have announced a season pass for Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller. The pass is available for purchase at Rain, GamersGate, and Gamestop for $24.99. Fans who pre-order will also receive a prequel comic and the soundtrack for the first episode of the series.

I wonder how many studios are going to follow in the footsteps of The Walking Dead and make episodic games. I know we were all hoping that Valve would lead the way with episodic content, and they did, but the time between each episode has grown longer and longer. The Walking Dead game showed that people can make episodic content and have it come out on a regular basis.

I supposed we’ll see how things turn out in the coming years. Maybe we’ll all be using Origin and everyone will love the Wii U and Apple will finally declare themselves rulers of us all, because they decided that they own everything.

Following the launch of Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, individual episodes will be $9.99. How weird is it that we live in an age where you can buy a video game for ten bucks? Still no hoverboards though, so I’m declaring the future a failure so far. Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller combines puzzles with a murder mystery tale, meaning you might get to see someone bludgeoned to death with the last piece of a 5000 piece puzzle depicting a giant cat wearing rollerblades. So mysterious.

The game follows the life of Erica Reed, an FBI agent who is trying to solve her brother’s murder. She has a special ability where she can see the past of an object through touch, which would make any trip to the supermarket absolutely harrowing. Whatever you do, don’t touch that can of Spam.
