Director’s Cut to ship on Nintendo Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 22

The Square Enix studio’s Eidos Montreal, was happy to announce that Deus Ex: Human Revolution® –  Director’s Cut,
the ultimate version of highly acclaimed RPG is shipping on October 22nd and for Mac in the near future.

David Anfossi, Head of studio for Eidos-Montreal, had the following to say about the new version of the game:

Over the last 18 months the team has been working very hard on the development of the Director’s Cut. With this edition we gave the team the envious task of pushing the boundaries in innovation and creativity to explore something we believe will become a big part of the future of the franchise, the second screen experience.

A new exclusive only available on Square Enix Online Store, a novella based on the Deus Ex universe, Deus Ex: Fallen Angel, is free when you purchase any of the console versions of the game. The novella was authored by James Swallow, who also wrote Deus Ex: Icarus Effect, follows character Malik before the events of Human Revolution.

The two new chapters, Tong’s Rescue mission and the Missing Link have been added to the game without disrupting the full experience. Other features include new overhauled boss fights, balanced combat, improved AI, and eight hours of developer commentary, also including improved visuals. The new version also includes second screen features for the Playstation Vita, Wii U gamepad, and Microsoft’s SmartGlass.
