The indie game that mocks mainstream practices is back with a new campaign
By the time this article comes out DLC Quest will finally be available on Steam and to celebrate this and the recent “Greenlight” campaign Going Loud Studios has also released a brand new campaign called “Live Freemium or Die” is also out as well and will be available for purchase on Xbox Live Indie Games as well.
Along with getting DLC Quest players on Steam will also get the new “Live Freemium or Die” content as well and the Steam version supports Steams online leaderboard and achievements but the game will also feature 20 different “awardments” to earn while playing so you can feel “reasonably satisfied with yourself” as the press release put it so it’s nice to know that this game isn’t just making fun of DLC.

The “Live Freemium or Die” content will more than double the content of the game and DLC Quest is now available on Steam, Desura and Apple Mac Store for $2.99 although players on Xbox Live Indie Games will have to buy DLC Quest and the new “Live Freemium or Die” pack separately for 80 Microsoft points each although to be fair the game has been on Xbox Box Live Indie Games for a while now.
So if you’ve ever had an interest in trying DLC Quest but couldn’t because Xbox Live Indie Games isn’t available in all countries then you really don’t have any excuses anymore unless of course you’re not a PC gamer.
