Square Enix has shown off a tech demo running in real time on a new games engine created for the next gen.
It is called the Luminous Studio engine & this demo is in real time.
It wasn’t said what the demo was running on, but just watch and tell me your thoughts.
The engine will be scalable so the next Sony/Microsoft console could run the engine (and even the PS3/Xbox 360) but in as high fidelity as this? Only time will tell.
They are not sourcing the engine out though, unlike with the Unreal Engine, so don’t expect other games other than Square Enix games to be powered by the Luminous Studio engine. But, expect the next gen games like Final Fantasy, etc, to look absolutely stunning!
It is truly next gen though in visuals/animation don’t you think?
