Just Dance 4 announced for Wii U

Just Dance 4 will be the newest iteration of the fast selling dance game, developed by Ubisoft.

 

It will be coming to a store near you, for the Wii, Xbox 360 Kinect, and PS3 Move in October this year.

 

Plans are to also have the game as a launch title for the Nintendo Wii U coming this fall.

 

 

Just Dance 3 sold over 9 million copies in less than 8 months, with 29 million sold over the course of the games.

 

Ubisoft can celebrate as Just Dance Wii sold over 600,000 copies in Japan and Korea alone, which is a very rare occerance to achieve success in both Eastern and Western countries.

 

“Just Dance continues to be the game of choice for consumers around the world looking for games with great music and fun dance moves,” said Geoffroy Sardin, chief EMEA sales and marketing officer at Ubisoft/Tony Key, US senior vice-president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. “This year, Just Dance 4 will once again bring family and friends together for moments of shared enjoyment and laughter. The party will be bigger than ever thanks to an epic track list, more interactive game modes and an expanded Just Sweat feature.”

 

 

The new game will feature more than 40 new tracks ranging from popular chart hits, to classic dance tracks.

Fresh new game modes will keep your adrenaline pumping.

 

 

  • Battle Mode (Go head to head with friends as you battle through six intense rounds. The chorecography and music will change in real time depending on who is winning or losing)
  • Alternate Choreographies (Unlock alternate dance routines for your favourite tracks. This will mix faster paced routines with more outlandish ones, depending on your mood)
  • Expanded Just Sweat Mode (Just Sweat will be upgraded with new workout sessions. You can have personalized programs, and a calorie counter to track how much you are truly working yourself.
  • Wii U exclusive features (The Wii U version will offer for the first time 5 player gameplay in an exclusive Pupper Master Mode. The player working the Wii U tablet controller will have all the power and will be able to switch dance routines that are being performed by the other 4 players in real time. They will be able to create custom choreographies, choose playlists, write on screen dedications, plus take and upload photos and videos of the best moments, and share online.
