Facebook Reveals Seven We Sing 80s Tracks

The Nintendo Wii U is to get a new singing game, We Sing 80s, with 30 chart topping hits, set to be the most popular version of the We Sing brand to date.

To celebrate the release of We Sing 80s, Nordic Games will be slowly revealing all 30 tracks, via a Facebook app, called the Facebook Jukebox app.
7 tracks have so far been reveled. Each week, fans that use the app will get a chance to win a copy of the game upon arrival, if you guess one of the soon to be announced tracks.

So, we won’t keep you waiting any longer (unless you scrolled down first).
The first tracks revealed are as follows:

Kylie Minogue – I Should Be So Lucky
Spandau Ballet – True
Musical youth – Pass the Dutchie
Yazz and the Plastic Population – The Only Way Is Up
DeBarge – Rhythm of the Night
Smokey Robinson – Being With You
Roxette – The Look

Kylie Minoque believe it or not released I Should Be So Lucky back in 1987 (the year I was born). It is still regarded as one of her most memorable tracks ever, making a top 10 hit across the globe.

Spandau Ballet in the 1980’s were one of the most successful bands and True from their 1983 album, also of the same name, was a worldwide hit. It remained a UK number one for 4 weeks. It was the 6th biggest selling single of the year.

The Only Way Is Up, sung by Yazz & the Plastic Population was a chart topping single, from 1988.
With ITV2 using the song on The Only Way Is Essex, it has stood up to the tests of time.

DeBarge’s rhythm of the Night was a 1985 hit, from the American R&B based band.
It was the bands biggest success yet, and hit number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Being With You was made back in 1981 by American singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson. It spent a whole 5 weeks in the number 1 spot in the Hot Soul Single charts in the US, and reached number 2 in the Billboard Hot 100.
It was also a number 1 hit in the UK during the summer of 1981!

The Look was a single released back in 1989 by Roxette. It topped the charts in over 26 countries reaching number 1 in the US, and number 7 in the UK.

“The 80s produced some of the most memorable songs of any decade and we’re very proud to include such outstanding hits here”

says Nik Blower, Sales and Marketing Director, Nordic Games.

“These songs are just a hint of the quality of tracks that we’ve included in We Sing 80s. With such an incredible tracklist, even those born after the 80s will still be familiar with the songs – bringing the 80s back to life for everyone.”

I do have to admit, being a late 80’s child, some of the best music I listen to now came from that decade.

We Sing 80’s will release for the Nintendo Wii on September 28th.
