If you happend to miss the Caribbean-style, Age Of Empires like Tropico 4 the first time around, then nows your chance to experience or re-live the exciting world builder first hand. Tropico 4 Gold Edition includes the original award winning game from a while back, and its full expansion pack titled Tropico 4: Modern Times, in one great bundle.
The "El Presidente!" simulator was created by the The Kalypso Media group, who has also made similar titles like Sins of a Solar Empire, and Dungeons. The developers are quite happy to announce the packaged games release date on November 13th of this year, on the Xbox 360 and PC. Tropico 4 has won more then a few awards here and there, and it's not the only game developed by Kalypso that has been well recieved and critically acclaimed.
Interested buyers can expect game mechanics like the ones listed below in both the original title, and its expansion:
- Become the heroic leader, or a despicable despot as your customized El Presidente avatar makes decisions for the good or ill of the people
- Two extensive campaigns consisting of more than 30 unique missions including the new “Modern Times” campaign
- More than 100 buildings in total, including the stock exchange, shopping mall, aqua park, car factories and shuttle launch pad
- Council of Ministers – Elevate citizens to government positions to help push through your more controversial decisions
- Sandbox mode for custom games, with improved map and scenario editor for endless replayability
