Frozen Hearth, a game that skillfully combines Real-Time Strategy and Roleplay mechanics has been released on Steams Greenlight service.
Frozen Hearth is a game where players find themselves engulfed in Danaan’s fight for survival as their home world of Amorra is overrun by bloodthirsty ice demons. These creatures known as the Shangur are slowly transforming the world into an icy wasteland where they would prosper and the Danaan would perish.
Christian Sauerteig, CEO of Immanitas Entertainment had this to say about the decision to put the game on Steams Greenlight service:
“We believe Greenlight offers us the perfect approach to presenting our game to a wide community of gamers. Receiving feedback from players before release that allows us to make adjustments and improvements is very important for us, making Steam Greenlight the ideal partner.”
Frozen Hearth comes with many features and will give players all the tools they need to use the many different approaches to complete the 18 levels of the game, alone or with a friend.
Frozen Hearth will also come with multiplayer internet and LAN support, meaning that the game will also host some Player versus Player action, where players can take on each other as the warlike Danaan, or the monstrous Shangur.
The game will give players a streamlined base building experience, with a single main structure, and the ability to produce 6 additional structures out of a possible 12. This gives players the option to customise and strategise their way to victory.
Alongside this, the game will also ship with 11 different types of unit for both factions, ranging from Infantry, Archers and Cavalry, through to Spell Casters and other unique units that bring their own special abilities to the fray.
