Kirby’s Star Stacker hits 3DS eShop this week

Nintendo have announced that Kirby is set to return to the 3DS this week with the release of the Game Boy puzzler game ‘Kirby’s Star Stacker’. The game will be released through Nintendo eShop this Thursday. Nintendo have also announced a number of other downloads this week, including ‘iSpot Japan’ which will be available on DSiWare and the 3DS eShop. A number of new DLC songs for the 3DS game ‘Theatrhythm Final Fantasy’ will also be available for download. This week’s solo WiiWare release is ‘Successfully learning English year 4’.

Kirby’s Star Stack is a 1997 Game Boy puzzler where players join Kirby as he teams up with his friends Rick, Kine and Coo to stack falling stars in order to defeat King Dededde. As star blocks rain down at random, players must quickly arrange them between identical friend blocks to remove them.

The game is a Kirby inspired take on the original block puzzler games but in the game, Kirby’s Dream Land 2 characters replace standard blocks and puzzles. Players will also be able to be challenged beyond the games standard ‘Round Clear’ mode, players can also tackle the ‘Time Attack’ mode or even test their gaming stamina in the ‘endless Challenge’ mode.

Kirby’s Star Stacker will cost £2.70 on the 3DS eShop.

‘iSpot Japan’ is a spot the difference title which focuses on Japanese landmarks and culture. The more you play the game, the more you can learn about Japans local cuisine, history and landmarks. The game also includes local multiplayer and a variety of difficulty levels.

iSpot Japan will cost £1.80 on the 3DS eShop or 200 points on DsiWare.

‘Successfully learning English year 4’ is a game where kids will be able to solve a range of excercises to learn English in a fun and different way. The game is an updated version of the previously released Freddy the Vampire’s English tutorial. All puzzles and problems in the game are based on the current national curriculum for English.

Successfully Learning English year 4 will cost 800 WiiWare points (around £8.00).
