On 21 July, Machester Center will be hosting the MCM Expo Manchester Comic Con. To those unfamiliar with the MCM Expo, it is a large pop culture convention that covers everything from Sports and TV, to gaming and anime. It introduces guests to a variety of retailers and also serves as the number one spot for fans to meet the idols that shape the entertainment industry.
Expectations for this year’s Expo are high; and with voice actor Vic Mignogma (voiced Ed and Al Elric in the popular anime Full Metal Alchemist) and athletes such as Mike Summerbee making an appearance, there is a reason to be excited. Renowned comic book artists including Lee Bradley and Anthony Johnston will also be meeting with fans.
For the gaming audience, THQ will be giving a sneak peek to Darksiders II, and Namco will be presenting and letting players test drive their new title Tales of Graces F. If that isn’t enough to get the blood pumping, there will also be a Dance Dance Revolution zone where gamers can show off their skills on the popular dancing game.
The MCM Expo not only showcases the work of popular comic book and manga artists. It also serves as a stage for aspiring writers and artists as well, helping them present their work to an open and excited audience. Cosplayers will also be given an opportunity to exhibit their craft and skill to fellow cosplayers and regular guests alike in competitive events.
