The new Pokemon games, Pokemon X and Y, feature many new “improvements” to the Pokemon series. “Mega Evolutions” and “Super Training” are just some of the creatively named additions.
“Mega Evolutions” are “awe-inspiring” transformations that some Pokemon can do during battle. Pokemon like Lucario turn into “Mega Lucario” and the same goes for others like Mewtwo. In order to Mega Evolve, Pokemon need their “Mega stones” that the player needs to find in the Kalos region. For example, Lucarionite Mega Stones are used for Mega Lucario. However, because everyone wants their Pokemon to be “Mega”, players can only get the Mega Stone, Blazikenite, in a special “Wifi Distribution Event” held by Nintendo.
“Super Training” is a feature that allows the player to increase their Pokemon’s stats through “training.” An example of this is a game in which the player needs to put a ball into the goal of some synthetic Pokemon. “Core Training” also increases the stats of your Pokemon, they do it by themselves. The player will earn training bags that their Pokemon can use to level up their stats on their own.
In addition to the Super Training and the Mega Evolution, new Pokemon have been added to Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. These new Pokemon include: Dedenne, Bunnelby and Skiddo. Dedenne is a electric/fairy Pokemon that can eat berries, Bunnelby is a “normal” pokemon that can dig, and Skiddo is a grass pokemon that evolves into the pokemon Gogoat. With all of these new inspired pokemon comes a Gym Leader. Korrina, apart from maybe being the key to Mega Evolution, is a fantastic roller-skater. With this, perhaps she can teach your pokemon to roller-skate in a formation that could potentially take down any foe you face. We won’t know until Pokemon X and Y are released.
