Capcom's popular fantasy action franchise Monster Hunter will return to America and Europe with Monster Hunter 3: Ulltimate Edition. The game will be released on the 3DS and Wii U console. Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate Edition is set for release for release on both platforms in March 2013 and is an enhanced edition of Monster Hunter Tri.
In the game, players will assume the role of a hunter who is sent to explore the Monster Hunter Universe. Hunters will complete quests on their journey to seek and slay monsters whilst improving their own skills and earning equipment upgrades. Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate Edition will offer over 200 quests and a range of challenging monsters in the most expansive game in the series to date.
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate edition will utilize the functionalities of both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS sytems. The touch screen feature of Monster Hunter 3 on both consoles will allow players to quickly access in-game books, weapons, field maps and mini games. Nintendo 3DS players will be able to take advantage of the consoles portability and exchange their guild cards via Streetpass.The card will contain their player information and hunter statistics.
Capcom have promised that the Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate's world will be stunning thanks to the high quality graphics on Wii U and the 3D visuals on 3DS which are powered by the latest iteration of Capcom's MT Framework.
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate Edition can be played alone or in four player local multiplayer using the Nintendo 3DS. In multiplayer, players will be able to find nearby hunters using the 3DS search feature. Wii U players will also be able to hunt with 3DS players via a local wireless connection.
Gamers will be able to play the game on Wii U and then continue using the same save file when they leave the house on their 3DS. This should create a truly portable Monster Hunter experience.
