Nintendo Announce New Bundles, Games and Release Dates

Nintendo 3DS was the focus yesterday of yesterday’s European Nintendo Direct presentation. Nintendo released further details on upcoming titles, 3DS XL bundles and a host of new downloadable games coming to the Nintendo eShop.  

Paper Mario: Sticker Star will be released throughout Europe on December 7th. The game introduces a new sticker dynamic to the Paper Mario franchise. In the game stickers are dotted around the landscape and can be peeled off and collected to bestow unique powers and special moves upon Mario.  Gamers will also be able to make their own stickers using items found in their adventure.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in March 2013. In the game players will take on the role of a hunter sent to explore a hunter's paradise. They will complete quests on the journey to seek and slay monsters whilst improving their own skills and earning equipment upgrades. Players will be also able to connect their game with someone playing on the Wii U. 

Nintendo also announced the release of two new 3DS XL colours. Nintendo unveiled the special limited edition Mario Kart 7 3DS XL bundle launching on November 16th.  The bundle includes a special white 3DS XL with Mario Kart 7 installed as a digital download.  Nintendo also announced that the special, limited edition Pikachu 3DS XL will come to Europe in "limited quantities" to celebrate the launch of Pokémon Black & White 2 next week. The Pikachu 3DS was only previously available in Japan. Nintendo have yet to announce when the console will be released.

Nintendo also unveiled a new focus on digital downloading market yesterday by announcing a host of new eShop games. Nintendo also announced that a number of previously released 3DS games will be available to purchase and download on the 3DS eShop.  Players can now buy and download Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Star Fox 64 3D on the eShop.

There are a number of upcoming releases for the Nintendo eShop which includes the sequel to the popular puzzler Pullbox, called Fallbox. In Fallbox, players can view puzzles not only from the front but behind. They will have to make sure that they build structures correctly from all angles. Fallbox will feature enhanced puzzle creation and sharing features.Pullbox is now temporarily available at a discount starting a period of six weeks in which a different Nintendo eShop title will be available each week at a reduced price.

Nintendo and Level 5 announced the upcoming release of three new titles created in collaboration with famous Japanese game developers. Aero Porter and Crimson Shroud will be released on the eShop in November and December respectively.  Liberation Maiden, Nintendo’s  latest collaboration with Suda51 is available to purchase now from the Nintendo 3DS eShop.  

Nintendo also announced free new downloadable content for their newly released New Art Academy has been made available to download via StreetPass today. The new lesson will teach players how to draw their very own Goomba from Scratch.
