Revisit WWII With Dogfight 1942

At this point, most gamers are quite familiar with the front lines of World War 2, but its not often that we get to take to the skies and leave the ground behind entirely. Dogfight 1942 allows you to do just that, with its gripping aerial dogfights and realistic fighter missions its a flight enthusiasts dream, put together with historic combat.

Developed by City Interactive, Dogfight 1942 will be available first for Xbox Live Arcade, with PC and PlayStation network coming in at a later date. The game features three different game modes, which are made up of Dogfight, Campaign, and Survival. Each type will offer a variety of ways to fly, and intense action that even newcomers can easily get into. In the process of creation, City Interactive was keen on tight and fluid controls that would eliminate the need for boring and cumbersome tutorials. Gameplay competition was another critical concern, and the developers have made sure that the game is always fun to play, so that any level of gamer would be able to find a fresh challenge.

– Dogfight mode involves head to head combat between you and one other player, who ever shoots the other first, wins.

– Survival is your classic horde mode, only now in the sky – and with airplanes.

– Campaign co-op seals the deal with various missions from the Axis Alliance with your wingman in tow.

Choose from over 40 realistic airplanes, all the way from the P-38 Lightning and Messerschmitt 109, to the Britain’s Spitfire and Japanese Kate. Players can own the clouds with online co-op and split screen campaign, while flinching at the incredibly realistic explosions and physics of each and every aircraft. Not only the most accessible and interesting flight game to ever be released on current consoles, Dogfight 1942 was created with a full-price retail value in mind, but is instead being offered at the low price of a digital download.
