Fishing Cactus in association with Armor games and Rising Star Games have announced that Shifting World for the 3DS is now available to buy in European stores. A free one level demo for the game is also available for download through the 3DS eShop.
Shifting Worlds was originally released as a browser game called ‘Shift’ that has now been played by over 20 million gamers worldwide. The hugely popular flash game was then ported to both smartphones and tablets, where it has been downloaded by over 16 million people.
Shifting World is a new 3D reinvention of the hugely popular game ‘Shift’. The game promises to take full dimension of the extra dimension added in the game. Shifting World retains the famous monochrome style of its predecessor and also uses the core principle of the gameplay in ‘Shift’.
Shifting World is a puzzle platformer in which players must shift the world from black to white and white to black in order to overcome the game's obstacles and find a way to beat the level. In Shifting World 3DS players will also have to switch between 3D and 2D views to find their way out of the level. Shifting World has over 60 levels spread out over 5 unique worlds.
Studio manager of Fishing Cactus Bruno Urbain commented on the Shifting Worlds release stating:
"We are very proud to bring the Shift franchise to a Nintendo platform, and we truly believe we have done the 3DS justice by exploiting its best features in this Shifting World opus. “…”We're also excited to team up with a savvy publisher such as Rising Star Games for distribution of the title across Europe."
Shifting World is available now in stores for the Nintendo 3DS. The game was previously launched in Japan and North America earlier this year.
